In the state of South Carolina Notaries are authorized to perform wedding ceremonies as well. Your Minister/Officiant should be one that you are comfortable with, as he/she will be a big part of your ceremony. Although some religions may require certain practices and wording of ceremonies, the Minister/Officiant should be easy to talk with and open to your ideas for your ceremony as well. After all, this is your day and the memories will last a lifetime.
